Don’t Stop ’til You Get Enough

What a heater!!!

Last night, at my favorite private house game, I started out hot and stayed on a massive heater pretty much the entire session. It wasn’t the most profitable session ever, as my big hand after big hand after big hand consistently failed to encounter the strength of opposition needed to get all the chips in.

I was hotter than July.

The first hand of the night I called a raise with QJs, flopped a flush draw and turned the flush to prevail against a villains JJ.

Within barely an hour, I flopped sets of 4’s, 7’s and K’s.

I was hotter than a three dollar pistol.

With A3s on the button, the flop came A33.

With A4 in the small blind, the flop came T95.

I was hotter than Mrs’ pancake griddle (leaving aside the grammatical question as to the proper presentation of the possessive form of “Mrs.”).

Once I folded 53s from one of the blinds after an early position raise. The flop was 642.

Another set of K’s.

Another flush.

QJo > KK on KQT-9-x board.

By the end of the night, I had KK seven times and AA twice. None of them got cracked!

I was hotter than the face of the sun!

Several months of wondering if I just don’t have an edge anymore melted away in the heat of a single session. Soul searching turned into gold searching.

I wish I could carry a tune (which I can’t!) just enough to be able to channel my inner Michael Jackson all day long…

Keep on, with the force don’t stop
Don’t stop ’til you get enough
Keep on, with the force don’t stop
Don’t stop ’til you get enough
Keep on, with the force don’t stop
Don’t stop ’til you get enough
Keep on, with the force don’t stop
Don’t stop ’til you get enough

The next session will be different. I’m sure of that. But damn, last night was awesome!
