There is so much to be thankful for.
I’m thankful for suited connectors, big pocket pairs, nut flushes, flopped sets and straights, combo draws, the stone cold nuts, and the Royal Flush I made last Sunday.
I’m thankful for deep stacks, light 3-bets, the Mississippi straddle, check-raises, math, implied odds, and bet sizing tells.
I’m thankful for MGM National Harbor, Maryland Live, Harrah’s Cherokee and New Orleans, Seminole Hard Rock, the Palm Beach Kennel Club, and the Las Vegas strip –> especially the Bellagio, Encore, Caesar’s Palace, Planet Hollywood, MGM Grand and Aria poker rooms.
I’m thankful to be able to play poker with nits, rocks, donkeys, fish, maniacs, MAWGs, TAGs and LAGs, senior citizens and kids younger than my own offspring, and black, white, brown, yellow, gay, straight, immigrant, American, Hispanic, Asian, Middle Eastern, amazingly diverse individuals bound together by our shared obsession.
I’m thankful for odds calculators, coaches (looking at you Tommy Angelo!), news and training sites (looking at you PokerNews.com), live streams, twitch.tv, strategy books, and fellow poker bloggers.
I’m thankful for friends and family – especially Mrs. – who let me be me. I wouldn’t want to be anyone else.
