  1. It’s never REALLY quitting though. Unless you plan on never being dealt cards again. I’ve heard many players say many times, “Life is just one big, long, session.”

      True, life (as relates to poker) is just one big, long session.

      On the other hand, life is just one big, long… er… life. Yet every day of it, we “quit” in order to go to bed and get some sleep, because otherwise our waking performance suffers.

      So let’s not get too hung up on the semantics. I use “quitting” because Tommy Angelo used “quitting” in Elements of Poker. Feel free to call it “pausing” when continuous play leads to a breakdown in good decision making, or any other term you prefer.
